These terms govern your participation in the J3 University Affiliate Program. By applying to the program, and by promoting J3 University with a discount code we issue you, you agree to be bound by them. They replace any earlier affiliate agreement you were given. Please read them before you apply.
The J3 University Affiliate Program (the "Program") is run by J3 University ("J3U", "we", "us"), operated by J3 SportsRD Inc. It lets approved individuals ("you", "Affiliate") promote J3 University products and earn a commission on the sales they bring in. Each Affiliate is issued a personal discount code that gives their audience 10% off, and every eligible sale made with that code is credited to the Affiliate.
The Program is a single flat rate program. Every Affiliate participates on the same terms and there are no separate tiers.
These terms, together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, govern your participation in the Program. Where these terms and the site Terms of Use differ on a Program matter, these terms apply.
To join the Program you submit an application on our affiliate page. Every application is reviewed, normally within 5 business days. Approval is at our sole discretion and we are not obliged to give a reason for declining one.
You must be at least 18 years of age to participate. You must give accurate, current and complete information in your application and keep it up to date, including the PayPal email we pay you at. Your Affiliate account is personal to you and may not be transferred or sold.
There is no fee to join, and no minimum sales, calls, content or reporting obligations. We may decline any application, and we may remove any Affiliate from the Program at any time, as set out in section 11.
You earn 40% of the price actually paid for the main eligible product in a qualifying order. Because your code gives the customer a discount, commission is calculated on the discounted amount the customer paid, not on the list price.

Commission is paid on the main product of an order only. The following are not commissionable: order bumps, upsells, downsells, subscription rebills and renewals, taxes, shipping and payment processing fees, pre discounted product variants, and the all access bundle. For subscription products, commission is earned on the customer's first purchase only.
We may add or remove products from the eligible list. Changes take effect when they are posted on this page and apply to sales made after that date.
We may also adjust commission percentages with 30 days notice. A rate change applies to sales generated after its effective date and does not affect commission already earned.
Your discount code applied at checkout is the sole automatic method of attribution in this Program. A sale is credited to you when your code is applied to the order. We also give you links to our sales pages that carry your code so it applies automatically, which is simply a convenience for your audience. No other tracking method is used and there is no click window. If the code is not on the order, the sale is not automatically attributed to you.
If a buyer you referred forgot to apply your code, email affiliate@j3university.com with the buyer name, the buyer email and the approximate order date. We review these claims case by case and may credit the sale to you at our discretion. Claims made a long time after the order, or claims we cannot reasonably verify, may be declined.
Manipulating codes, inflating traffic by artificial means, advertising falsely, or using any other fraudulent or unethical sales tactic voids the affected commissions and may result in immediate removal from the Program.
A commission is recorded as pending as soon as the sale is made, and becomes confirmed 40 days after the sale date, once the refund window on that order has closed. Only confirmed commission is payable.
Where an order is bought on a payment plan, also called split pay, the commission on that order is held for 90 days from the sale date before it confirms, rather than the standard 40. The longer hold covers the extra risk while the plan is still being paid.
If an order is refunded, partially refunded, charged back or otherwise reversed, the commission on it is reversed too, whether it was pending or already confirmed. Where a commission is reversed after it has been paid, the amount is deducted from your future balance. If your balance is not enough to cover it, the shortfall carries forward against later commissions.
Payouts are sent via PayPal to the PayPal email address on your Affiliate account. It is your responsibility to keep a valid, active PayPal account able to receive payments, and to keep that address current in your account. We are not responsible for payments delayed or lost because the payout method on file was missing or incorrect.
Your confirmed balance is paid out after commissions clear the confirmation window described in section 5. You can see your pending balance, your confirmed balance and your full payout history in the affiliate portal at affiliate.j3university.com.
Payouts are capped at $5,000 per affiliate per payout run. If your confirmed balance is higher than the cap, the remainder stays on your balance and is carried into the next payout.
If a payment is returned, refused or left unclaimed in PayPal, we may reverse it back to your balance and reissue it once the problem with the receiving account is resolved, subject to the forfeiture rule below.
Forfeiture where no payout method is on file. You need a valid payout method on your account to be paid. If a commission has become payable and your account has no valid payout method, that commission is deemed abandoned and is no longer payable if you do not provide a valid payout method within 90 days of it becoming payable. Before that happens we make reasonable efforts to reach you using the contact information on file. Keeping your contact details and your payout details current is your responsibility, and we may remove from the Program any Affiliate who does not set up a payout method or does not respond to repeated outreach about it.
Purchases you make through your own code earn no commission. This also covers any purchase made primarily for your own benefit, including orders placed by a member of your household or a business you control, and any arrangement where you rebate part of your commission to the buyer. We may reverse commission on any order we reasonably determine to be a self referral.
You are free to promote J3 University in your own voice, on your own platforms, on your own schedule. In doing so you agree to the following:
When you post about J3U, tag @j3university and use #j3uaffiliate. It helps us find your content, engage with it, and share it on to a wider audience.
Breaking these rules may cost you your unpaid commission and your place in the Program.
All promotional material we provide, including images, logos, copy and other content, remains the intellectual property of J3 University. You receive a limited, revocable license to use those materials solely to promote J3U in line with these terms.
You may not alter our logos, present yourself as J3U staff or leadership, or create derivative J3U courses, guides or educational materials. Every asset license we grant is revocable at any time.
Information we share with you that is not public, including business plans, sales and performance data, marketing plans and customer information, is confidential. You agree not to disclose it to any third party without our prior authorization, and to use it only for your participation in the Program. This obligation continues after your participation ends.
You can stop promoting and leave the Program at any time by emailing affiliate@j3university.com. We may end your participation with 30 days notice, or immediately if you breach these terms or act in a way detrimental to the brand.
On termination your discount code is deactivated and stops working at checkout. Within 7 days you must remove J3U promotional materials from your platforms.
Commission you validly earned on compliant sales that were not refunded is still paid once it clears the confirmation window in section 5, subject to the payout terms in section 6. If we end your participation for fraud, abuse of the Program, or a breach of these terms, any unpaid commission on your account is forfeited.
You participate in the Program as an independent contractor, not as an employee, agent, partner or joint venturer of J3 University. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all taxes due on the amounts we pay you, and for any registrations or filings your own jurisdiction requires. Where the law requires us to collect tax information from you or to withhold on a payment, we may hold a payout until you provide what we need.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page and is identified by the "Last updated" date and version number at the top. Changes take effect when they are posted, except where these terms state a notice period, such as commission rate changes. Your continued participation in the Program after a change takes effect is your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not accept a change, stop promoting and ask us to close your Affiliate account.
