ATHLETE SUMMARY:
PERSONAL THOUGHTS:
This week will somewhat official be the start of prep for me. I say somewhat because these weeks prior are all about the same lay out wise. I am not that liberal in the offseason, so it makes for an easy transition. Truthfully, I count prep from when I really increase AAS dosages. I hope you all enjoy the information and thought process I layout in this journey!
Start of this prep is a bit different for me as I am in South Carolina for Jr USAs and my wife, Renee, is competing in Wellness. Very excited for her and hope to share a great outcome with you all! All food is packed, and gyms are in place, so no deviations are happening up here for implementing the plan.
Last week I lab work drawn to verify health markers were in check. Lipids and LFTs were within normal limits. My creatinine was high, but I do think it is more so related to my high body weight as I have trended around that level for the past 2 years. I also had a CT Ca Score and that came back as zero, thankfully! So, internal health is at a very good spot. Plan to pull labs again about middle of prep as well and will share with you.
So, onward to cut down to 212lbs, currently sitting at 237lbs in the morning. Last year I started prep around a much softer 240lbs, so this should be a tight squeeze. But should be diced to the bone once I get down to weight.
DIET FEEDBACK:
Cheat meal was not used last week as I just had no desire for it. Last few weeks I have done some sushi on off days, but with Renee on prep I resisted. Hunger is there prior to meals but nothing too high. Normal Bowels, limited gas.
TRAINING FEEDBACK:
All lifts are progressing upward, but I do have some minor connective tissue things cropping up. Lateral border of my right knee is achy, which is likely from weak Glute Medius. Also, my left coracobrachialis is flaring up from pressing. I think I might need to pull the Hammer Strength Wide press as I think it’s the culprit there. Pumps have been moderate this week.
COACHING SUMMARY:
EVALUATION OF PAST WEEK:
I do look fuller this week and conditioning is relatively holding well reviewing the past few weeks.
CURRENT WEEK ACTION PLAN:
Will not pull food down or increase cardio this week. Prep cycle will be implemented (see below). Rationale is to increase test for fullness, while utilizing primo to enhance the anabolism of the cycle and limiting addition of more aromatizing compounds. Masteron will be utilized for increased androgen: estradiol control, SHBG lower effects, and CNS androgen effect of strength. This combination is useful for weight restricted bodybuilders over other combinations. AAS will be put in place and take action while diet and cardio remain the same. One variable is usually changed at a time to understand what is doing what. Should anticipate a harder fuller look over the next weeks.
