Puerto Rico Pro Prep 2021

5 days out : Post Show Set Up-Diet-Training-PED

ATHLETE SUMMARY:

PERSONAL THOUGHTS:

Much debate went into the plan after the NY pro. I had to work backwards in my thought process with the question of going on a run for the 2021 Olympia of not. My main thing is always improving every time I walk on stage and I feel getting on the 2021 Olympia stage this year I can improve and bring my best and I can’t justify the need to sit out a year. So, what is the best plan to make that happen? Well Renee is doing her Pro Debut at the Puerto Rico Pro in 5 weeks, I am going to be there anyway, so I am going to jump into the show. This gives a few weeks to increase food and then pull back down. If qualified I would then have 14 weeks for the Olympia, of course if I don’t qualify, I can still bring up food like I would anyway and watch the next shows happen and if I would qualify off points. Competing at a later show in August makes pulling down to stage weight harder and less time to rest before the big O stage. So, Puerto Rice Pro (in the Bahamas) the Jewett’s are coming lol.

I let weight come up this week to a morning weight of 209.2lbs. Much fuller but holding some water with reintroduction of PEDs and increased GI food weight with increased dietary fiber. Still this look is about 2 weeks out, so plan is to wait for another week before pulling it back down to extra crispy.

Diet wise food is a touch lower than during peak week as I no longer have fat burners in place and also lowered my step count down. I will keep adjusting the diet to a slight surplus and also not let my weight come over 211 before pulling down. I also am going to long without eating in the AM so I am moving to 6 meals per day only on training days.

Training I looked at stage pics and really want to put focus on chest and back. Leg day was dropped to once per week, with push and pull sessions now twice per week.

Step count is at 9000 steps per day and none of this is direct cardio work.

Sleep has really improved this week and stress is very low. Just enjoying the process and really excited to compete with Renee…yes we will have matching colors for our suits lol.
